7th Annual Malibu Invatational Benefiting The Young and Brave

One of my favorite events all year is The Malibu Invitational at the historical First Point Malibu. This contest is one of my favorites because I love everyone who is involved including Val Surf, Freedom Artists, and all the brands that come out to support this event and their mission behind the contest which is "Blending generations to save and enrich lives." Each day of the contest, they hold a special one hour heat to take out kids with special needs into the ocean and spread the stoke that is surfing via THERAsurf. Watching these kids come down the line is such a blessing and it feels great to cheer them on from shore. This year, The Malibu Invitational raised $20,000 for The Young and Brave Foundation. Every year my boyfriend Kilian Garland has been invited and this year he took home the first place spot for the pro division. Words cannot express how excited we were! Thanks again to everyone involved, this is truly an amazing event with great people!

The 6th Annual Malibu Invitational

Every year I look forward to this amazing event held at Surfrider Beach at First Point in Malibu. The contest was started to help raise funds for the hommie Lyon Herron's battle with Gardner Syndrome. I can't tell you how brave and strong Lyon truly is and it is such a pleasure and inspiration to be at this event as it is so special and dear to all of us who live in the area. Big thanks to Brandon at Val Surf and all the buddies at Freedom Artists, Thera Surf, Sicky Dicky, and the whole Malibu crew for running such a great event!
