A Day in Beverly Hills with Ashley

My journey in photography has been coming along and I must admit I have having so much fun with it. I had the privilege a couple of weeks ago to photo assist my girlfriend Rachel Moyer on one of her shoots and I was able to snap some photos of my own to practice. We had a beautiful penthouse at the Thompson in Beverly Hills that made for the perfect romantic setting. Stay tuned for more fun projects and my ever evolving photography.

Bo Stanley on Vogue Italia.com!!

So excited to share this with you! A while back, I styled a shoot with my lovely friend & professional surfer Bo Stanley with Billabong's Designer's Closet. My photographer Rachel Moyer shot the photos and they are featured as part of Bo's profile on Vogue Italia.com for being a sexy surfer with curves as part of her Healthy is The New Skinny campaign! Congrats girl! Check out her whole feature here.

Have I ever told you about my amazingly talented best friend Rachel??! Pretty sure I have raved about her on Mischief, but I am here to introduce to you Rachel's new website Rachel Moyer Studio and her aspiring career as a Boudoir Photographer! I happy to say I have assisted her with some of the shoots featured in her portfolio- but her real talent is her keen eye for a sexy, yet classy look her in subject that oozes femininity and invokes the viewer into desire and fantasy. Everything you could possibly want from a boudoir photo. Her style is a modern pin up with the edge of raw film. I am happy to share these photos with you, and by all means, if you are intersted in booking a shoot with her, I highly encourage it! These photos will last you a life time and beyond. Please check out her site and like her on facebook :)

Lexo The Great at The Malibu Inn

I am so happy to be sharing this event with you! The boys over at SICKY DICKY down in Malibu are hosting DUBSTEP SATURDAY July 9th.

This is very special for lots of reasons,  but most importantly, our local 805 resident and best hommie Alex Medina AKA Lexo The Great will  be performing live at the historical Malibu Inn.

A couple of weeks ago, I set up a shoot with my amazing team of photographers and stylists from Patrick Moyer Photography for Alex's press kit.

Here are a couple shots from the shoot that I organized. Patrick did an amazing job and the film came out great! Thank you to Rachel Moyer, Patrick Moyer, Kilian Garland, and Lexo for all coming through and helping get these photos popping for Lex!

Santa Barbara County and the 805 are the biggest influence on Lexo The Great's sound and drive to hustle as an independent artist.  Born from Latin decent, his mother Mexican and father Bolivian.  His Latin culture always causes him to explore a wide variety of new sounds and experiment with different genres of music.  His eclectic background and heritage proves for his great stage presence and interaction with his crowd.

In 2010, Lexo released 4 Mixtapes, 1 Album and several music videos and performed along side of LA artists such as Dom Kennedy, Overdoz, Carter and Casey Veggies. His latest album, "Doobie Brothers 2", featured production from several respectable producers such as Darren Vegas, Gudda Beats and DJ Mustard (Pu$haz Ink). Working with his engineer Federico 'C Sik' Lopez, he has been able to learn from some of the West Coast's Greats such as Sick Jacken (Psycho Realm), Cynic, Ras Kass and Planet Asia.

2011 has already proven to be an progressive year for Lexo.  SXSW 2011 and a So Cal Tour with Rock-Reggae powerhouse Iration have definitely allowed Lexo to hit the ground running.  The highlight for 2011 has definitely been the release of his latest single, 'Another Day' ft. Iration which is available on iTunes.  Lexo has also had the opportunity to perform along side several Rock-Reggae bands such as Iration, Tomorrows Bad Seeds, The Mike Pinto Band and Pacific Dub.  He is currently wrapping up his latest EP, 'Keep It Dirty', a Dubstep project produced by Seven Lions which is set to release June 2011.

Lexo is currently writing and recording his new album with Reggae Great and Grammy Award winning producer Native Wayne Jobson.  Native Wayne has worked with and produced for legendary artists such as Bob Marley, Keith Richards, Peter Tosh, Gregory Isaacs and his most successful project, No Doubt's "Rock Steady" album which earned him 2 Grammys and sold over 3 million records.  All the while, Lexo still continues to spread his positive and humble energy to all those who around him, as well as sticking to his roots and never forgetting where he comes from.

Roll through the event.
