Brian Viveros- Mess With The Bull

Check out this signed limited print I came across. I really enjoy this artist- Brian M Viveros. A dark pin-up style so to say. I love the detail. I like the vibrancy of the whole image.

A lil from the artist on the hand embellishment process:

- First what I did is I watered down some acrylic flesh tones and ran it through my custom micron to bring up certain areas bringing this print more to life. I wanted to bring more life to this print as a whole so I worked on each one individually adding to the face and body, just lil’ subtleties ya’ know - not taking away but adding more, something special to each one so its not just your everyday print.

- I then focused on my signature cigarette and eyes adding more detail with white to highlight the lips a little more and the cigarette ash looks even more lit and the eyes I made even deeper and more seductive with a slight touch of black.

- Last I came in with red (“The Blood”) overlaying each rose, her lips and the cape of the bullfighter so that each really pops and adds a little more life and richness to it. Practically bleeding off the paper.

Inspiring Artist: Natalia Fabia

Read her article in the current issue of Juxtapoz. I will quote it later, but to sum it up, she has no problem painting beautiful women and is pretty fasinated by Hook muses. I get this from time to time, are you a lesbian? NAH! Not that I have anything against that, but people don't understand how girls can quite frankly be obsessed with other good looking girls. I mean who woulnd't want to look at these paintings? Her steez is off the charts. I love So-Cal girls. And she paints them perfect. A rare bread in this world us So-Cal girls.

Mary-Louise Parker, the Pin-Up Queen of Dank

I am happy to say that Mary-Louise Parker from Showtime's hit series WEEDS is officially the Pin- Up Queen of Dank.

As perhaps my greatest passion as it relates to the arts, art of the Pin-Up & Pin-Up history are my in fact something I do study in my free because they make me happy and these hotties set the stage for an idealistic way of how women should present themselves.

Here is a little back ground on the "Pin-Up":

A pin-up girl or pin-up model is a model whose mass-produced pictures see wide appeal as pop culture. Pin-ups are intended for informal display. Pin-up girls are typically glamor models, fashion models, and actresses.

Pin-up may also refer to drawings, paintings and other illustrations done in emulation of these photos. The term was first attested to in English in 1941; however the practice is documented back at least to the 1890s. The pin up images could be cut out of magazines or newspapers, or be from postcard or chromo-lithographs, and so on. Such photos often appear on calendars, which are meant to be pinned up anyway. Later, posters of pin-up girls were mass-produced.

I have spent lots of money and time researching Pin- Up artists and models, and I am here to bring you the best.

When I first started watching the show WEEDS... I did take notice that Miss Mary-Louise was in fact presented as the networks newest TV Pin Up just by the advertising campaign. And it make sense in terms of her character, which if you watch the show, you know that Nacy Botwin is extremely sexually charged.

Please make sure to notice the deliberate attempts to create Nacy as a Pin- Up... lingerie corsets, the poses are pristine, she is doing something around the "house" and carrying out her usual business looking sexy, ruffle undies, sparkle heals, and a checkered bathing suit. Come on!

Now here is the Dank Pin Up

Marvel Babes

Fierce!!!

Drawing inspiration from Sex And The City, Marvel Comics is planning to release Marvel Divas in July, a limited series featuring the most ferosh female heroes Marvel has to offer!

Co-creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa described the series as "a way to have some sudsy fun and lift the curtain a bit and take a peep at our most fabulous super heroines."

The series will also tackle what it's like "to be a woman in an industry dominated by testosterone and guns." oh yeah and "video games"

Sounds hot and sexy me like like like these!!!

All the gay comic book nerds just shot a load!

Art Steez

Yesterday was overwhelming for me, as will be today. Not only did I have an amazing day, but when I came home, I had a little present waiting for me from Costa Mesa. I got two signed Creature Skateboards 'Vikings of Hesh' prints from Todd Bratrud. I will post the pics soon, but shit is out of control! I first saw the 'Vikings Ship' at Church of Skatan... and had to have it. And I got it. I scanned some of my work/ sketches last night too, so here it is... More on my Character Case Study.

Above, I was so inspired by Creature that I wanted to create a dark/ gothic pin-up while using the green and purple combination of colors. She is a cutie, but I am sure she will transform later on, as she is in her infancy of development. I am also planning on a doing a huge Lily Munster.

This chic will just beat your ass. My favorite part of this sketch is the camel on the left.
On the right, this character has stars around her because she is one of my favorites.
Tribute to Olvia. See her shit on the right- her link is there. But I LOVE THIS PICTURE! It is different from the characters, she is more real, and gets you where it hurts.
Manga Bishou is straight up hyphy.

Doodah x Knoepfel-Indlekofer Supermodel Skateboard

This months Juxtapoz features these sexy decs. I want one. Or four.
Just a quick look at the new Doodah x Knoepfel-Indlekofer Supermodel Skateboard and you will realize why you need to hit the streets with it. Some of the most beautiful women on the planet have been photographed by Claudia Knoepfel and Stefan Indlekofer to make these skateboards unique, and they have been anything but shy with their work. A limited edition treat with only 150 of these masterpieces available, you’d better hurry if you want to carry a supermodel in your arms to the skate park. The downside however, is that you ultimately have to stand on these

Get them here at Doodah

My Favorite Suicide Girls

This is the first image I have from the Suicide Girls. Initially, I learned about these killer chics (literally) when I watching the footage from Create Skateboards Rumble In Ramona skate contest. I am into hot rods and pin ups, so that contest really intrigued me, not to mention my fascination with the Hesh Law. I saw them, and I was like "What the heck are all these hot pin ups doing at this Hesh party?" And then I realized, they were down, they were down for life, just like Thrasher is down with skateboarding, you know? It made me kind of jealous. Then I found their site, and became obsessed. Once I was set on these chics, and possibly, the thought of one day signing myself up, I started doing more research! And what do you know, Mike Dirt, the king of SB POP, had a book at his house of the Suicide Girls. I started reading it the other day and realized I really am hooked. I can't tell you why I am so facsinated with Pin Ups, hot rod culture, and this new contempory image of what was once a prestinly posed woman from the 1950's, but all I can say is that "I want that hair style" and the look. I am fazing out of the surfer chic- I want this minus the tats. Joshy Dee from Rebel 8 and Mike Giant told me to not get a tatoo and leave my body pure. So that is what I am going to do, I think. For now, I have to be a square. Fuck You Society.

Here are my photos of my favorite Suicide Girls.
