The take away menu that I created for La Supa Rica Taqueria provides a complete list of their menu and daily specials that captures the personality of the restaurant in a striking way. I utilized traditional "Santa Barbara" fonts and their trade mark turquoise to communicate their brand while maintaining a clean and modern look.

Located in a state-of-the-art facility just blocks from Rincon Del Mar, the CI HQ represents a foundation for developing, testing, and building boards while providing jobs in Santa Barbara for many years to come.
Channel Islands Surfboards was created by Al and Terry Merrick in 1969. Eventually he started shaping alongside his father Al in 1990. He is now the lead shaper and designer for CI and carries on the family tradition of developing high performance board designs collaborating with the world’s greatest surfers. From Tom Curren, to Dane Reynolds, Channel Islands continues to evolve with the highest standard of surfing.
The Peregrine graphic was created for professional surfer Dane Reynolds new Channel Island Surfboards pro model. Check out more on this board on the CI website .
"Named after the fast and powerful falcon that tends to breed on coastal cliffs. This new model connects with the board’s design for fast, powerful surfing and reflects Dane and Courtney’s interest in falconry. Four-channels fuel this all around high performance shortboard suitable for all wave types. Designed for maximum down the line speed, quick transitions, and big rail turns."

While many skateboarders have enjoyed the skateboard graphics of VC Johnson over the last 40 years, his other work has largely been tucked away in private reserve, unseen, even by most of his friends and family. This collection of his works in black and white is now offered in gratitude to those who have supported, inspired and, of course, have bought his work, which has afforded him a comfortable life in his hometown of Santa Barbara, California, where he continues to live and work. Still alive and grateful, he thanks you all.
Helping my mentor and dear friend Vernon Courtlandt Johnson has been one of the biggest highlights of my creative career. Court and I go way back, and he was one of the first people in my life to encourage me to do art when I was a young kid. I owe him so much grattitude for always inspiring me.
I created VCJ Graphics on Squarespace and I styled the pages, edited and color corrected his art work, created a custom logo for the site with his traditional stamp and monkey graphic, and helped curate all the different images and categories. I also used the his custom VCJ stamp logo for his business cards.
Please check out VCJ Graphics for more on Court and his artwork.
As a California native and sun lover, I can't tell you enough how important my sunscreen and skin regime is to my health. When Salt Water Diva's approached me to design the label for their new skin care line Live Free Go Organic, I couldn't have been more thrilled. To say this stuff is amazing is an understatement, I absolutely adore using this product and it keeps my skin looking fresh under the harsh sun. Check out more on this product on Spirit Earth and don't get caught in the sun without it! For a list of local stores that carry this product in Santa Barbara, send me a direct message on my contact page.
Thank you David Pu'u for letting me use your image featured in the 2015 DEEP Swim Magazine!

By focusing on the cultural and environmental impacts of reshaping space, Anacapa balances the social responsibility of urban planning and development, while daring to implement unexpected and imaginative functionality.
Established in Santa Barbara, California as Dan Weber Architecture, Anacapa emerged in November 2016, as a way of honoring the collective contribution underlying our design ethos. Anacapa illustrates a connection to the Santa Barbara Channel’s ecological history and stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the local community that has nurtured our vision. Our studio was founded in the Funk Zone on Anacapa Street, a distinct locality magnetized by lively grassroots commerce. This uncontested hallowed ground nurtured our company’s roots and remains fundamental to our creative identity.

Adobe Illustrator vector drawing laid onto a Photoshop background.
For this particular piece, I was inspired by the juxtaposition of sexy and dark. Both Gothic yet Bohemian. The contrast of black, white, and gray with the fuchsia pink really brings this piece to life for me. I intended for my subject matter to have an almost vampire like look with her pale white skin and mouth opened, presenting the illusion that she is biting into something or someone while still remaining an object of sexual desire.
All photos take with my Canon Rebel T1i.
Lifestyle photography is one of my greatest creative passions that I discovered while blogging over 6 years ago. The ability to capture events and moments in time while simultaneously setting a mood through visual aesthetics is a creative journey that not only excites me but also challenges me. All the images categorized in this section represent a piece of my memory and a feeling I had at the time.
The digital orchid still life that I created was my final project for my digital drawing class. Although the style doesn't necessarily reflect my artistic taste, I believe this piece is great example of how far I am able to push my skills in Adobe Illustrator.
All photos taken with my Canon Rebel T1i.
The digital illustration that I created in Adobe Illustrator of Hunter S. Thompson's face was made using a stippling effect that utilizes dots to convey shading and depth. After the illustration of the writer was created in AI, I brought him into Adobe Photoshop to create the custom smoke typography treatment and blurred background. The poster is illustrates Thompson's famous quote "Buy the ticket, take the right" while giving the illusion that he himself is spinning.
A collection of photographs of my many muses. All photographs taken with my Canon Rebel T1i.
Taking photographs of my beautiful friends is one of my favorite creative subject matters. I often dry my inspiration from raw female sexual energy and feel the present of a muse during my creative process.
My inspiration for this piece was based on a dream I had one evening about the painting “The Birth of Venus” by Botticelli. I have seen the physical painting in Italy and had forgotten how much it had moved me in real life until she reappeared to me in my dream. The dream symbolized a lot of what I had been going through recently in my personal life and what I wanted my portfolio to embody. The mermaid I created was not only inspired by the god Aphrodite, but also a combination of my favorite comic book characters. It was very important to either add a splash of water behind the shell or in the case that I choose, glitter and sparkles, because it symbolizes her coming out into the world... her "Ta-Dah!" moment.
Illustration created in Adobe Illustrator and edited in Adobe Photoshop.
