Katie Mclean :: I Madonnari

I Madonnari :: Italian street painting festival Memorial Day weekend
March 2010 Santa Barbara, Ca

Such a beautiful painting!!!! I love it. Katie McLean is currently working through her senior year of art school at Otis Art and Degisn

weird story.... Katie did this piece with very short notice!! and did an excellent job, I didn't find out about it until a little later but somewhere in between I gave Katie this birthday card for her 21st at the same time! Not knowing about her chalk painting!

IModinari Street Painting Festival

What did you do Memorial Day weekend? I hope you made it over to the Italian street painting festival at The Mission, IModinari. I go every year. A week later... :) while the paintings are still fresh. Check out a couple of my favorites from this years festival.

Father Virgil Cordano passed away last May. He was a dear soul who contributed many great things to our community. This painting warms my heart because it depicts The Santa Barbara Mission, Queen of the California Missions, in all of her glory.
